BSN No-Xplode, CellMass, Syntha-6, and Nitrix Reviews August 10, 2007

For those of you who are in to weightlifting, you might use creatine, protein, or other performance-enhancing products to help get you to your goals. If not, prepare to be introduced.

I’m taking the following supplements to help build muscle:

No-Xplode

No-Xplode is a product by BSN (along with the other products I’m on) that provides several benefits. Supposedly, all the various ingredients (tons and tons of chemicals, a proprietary blend, and creatine) provide enhanced focus and brain stimulation, instantly improved vascularity (visible, prominent veins with more fluid getting pumped through because of nitric oxide), and improved strength. You can read more about it at BodyBuilding.com.

So does it work?  Read on to find out.

The directions on No-Xplode’s packaging indicate that you should first get used to the product by mixing just one scoop of the powder in with some water (about 5oz). It is loaded with caffeine, so if you’re not used to high dosages of it, you’ll need to get used to it. Otherwise, if you crank up the dosage right in the beginning, look forward to nausea, headaches, and even vertigo. Additionally, you’ll need to drink 120oz of water - daily - especially when taking products like No-Xplode and CellMass. If you disregard this warning, you’ll probably face nausea, dirrahea, and headaches. Me?  I drink 120 ounces since I’ve experienced first hand what happens if you don’t.

Once you’re accustomed to how much No-Xplode you can handle, the dosage ranges from 2-3 scoops and 5-15 ounces of water to adjust for the sweetness of it. Its sweetened with Splenda, something I absolutely despise and will write about in the near future. Either way, its a little on the sweet side for me (I drink the Fruit Punch flavor) so I take 3 scoops with 15 ounces of water.

Keep in mind, this product must be taken on an empty stomach. You won’t get the full effect if you take it after or during a meal of any sort.

Within 20-45 minutes of drinking the cocktail, you’ll start to feel the effects. It may take a few days or even weeks of use before effects kick in after drinking it, but they definitely will. I saw effects from day one. Improved vascularity, check. Increased muscle strength, check (I added 10-20 pounds to all my workouts, no problem). I also felt more alert and focused. Silly as it is, I tested this by playing some Counter-Strike before starting my workout. Its amazing how different I play. It improves my game probably by 25-50%. I think more clearly and just click and shoot with little effort.

Anyway, in terms of actually working out, the difference is clear: I can do more reps, harder reps, heavier reps, and longer reps than I could have without this stuff. Recently I went one day without taking anything. What an incredible difference!  I  couldn’t handle the same weights and I got tired out pretty quickly. I also didn’t really “feel” like working out. Is it all in my head?  I don’t think so.

If you decide to try No-Xplode, it would make a great addition to any weightlifting plan. Just know that you should only take it for 2-3 months and then stop taking it for at least a month thereafter. Any product with creatine needs to be given time to get out of your system. Creatine causes a lot of water retention and other chemical buildup in your system. Not everyone follows this rule but its a smart one to go by.

A container of No-Xplode typically lasts about a month. If you take 3 scoops each workout you’ll burn through it really fast (probably 3 weeks). It’s not too cheap, either, weighing in at about $35. There are other products like No-Xplode that promise the same effects, but its the only one I’ve chosen to use based on other online reviews and friends & family comments after using the product. I’m quite happy with it now that I’ve been on it for 2 months. I’ll definitely continue using this until I reach my targets.

As the subject of this post says, I will review CellMass, Syntha-6, and Nitrix. Those reviews will come in the next few days. I currently take all of these supplements so if you’re interested in sprucing up your workout regime, stay tuned.
