Update: SimpleFit Results after Two Weeks April 1, 2007

As I posted below, I was going to keep this blog up to date on the results of my exercising using the routine outlined by SimpleFit. Well, even I am impressed in such a short amount of time.
To give you an idea of what was going on here before I show you two pictures of before and after, keep in mind that I had started loosely working out about 3 weeks prior to starting this program on March 15th. I’d workout maybe 1-2 times a week, nothing major, and I was in bad shape - especially in the cardio department, which I’m still working at. But now, after using Simplefit on an every-other-day basis, I can safely say that it is an effective workout to get you into the shape you need to be to do some serious weight lifting. Keep reading for the before and after shots of my back.
Here’s the before, in a real shitty shot through the bathroom window (terrible, sorry, but I had no idea I’d be using it for this at the time):

As you can see, quite embarassing. But that’s what I get for never exercising, right?
Well, here’s a much better shot a little over two weeks later. Both were taken immediately after workouts:

Can you see the difference? :) And yes - that is a Bowflex, so shut up. Its fucking great! Not the only tool in the box of course, but it has its purposes.
I’m not here to boast, just proud that I made a noticeable amount of progress in a short time, and I’d like others to be able to share that success. I’m now supplementing the SimpleFit workouts with random workouts mirroring the methods taught at Gym Jones (see previous article about the 300 workout). For instance: I’ll stretch and warm up on Day 2 of SimpleFit and then do some bicep curls, lat rows, or any other combination of random upper body workouts with weights higher than I’d usually use during a standard workout, since my program is now anything but standard. Hopefully, I’ll have some better full-body after shots in another few weeks, so check back for more.
I’m going to post more information about how I’m working out and what my diet/daily routine is like. Its not easy to get in shape!
